Personal Effects
Residents at The Troc Care Home in Newark are encouraged to 'personalise' their rooms and can bring their small favourite items of furniture into the Home.
Pets
The Home may be able to accommodate small pets following a discussion and an agreement with the Proprietors, Staff and existing residents.
Meals
A varied menu of traditional cooking is provided with alternative choices for personal likes and dislikes. Special diets can be catered for.
Laundry
There is a purpose-built laundry on the premises catering for residents' personal requirements.
Services
The services of a visiting hairdresser are available. Appointments can be made for a chiropodist, dentist or optician to visit whenever required. Delivery of personal daily/weekly newspapers and magazines can be arranged.
Medical
Residents have the choice of doctors, dentists and opticians. Local GP's visit the Care Home whenever necessary.
Residents wishing to administer their own medication are able to do so.
Spiritual
Visits by local clergymen are welcomed and a regular Holy Communion Service is held in the Home for those residents wishing to participate.
Activities
Active participation in games such as cards, dominoes and bingo etc is encouraged and singing songs around the piano is a much-enjoyed regular feature. Weekly sessions of movement to music also help keep residents active and mobile. From time to time visiting groups provide a variety of entertainment.
The Reason Care Ltd has a wide selection of books and magazines for residents to access. Residents are encouraged to continue with their hobbies and pastimes and, if they wish, may help with small day-to-day tasks around the Home.
Smoking
The Home operates a 'No Smoking' policy.
